Maryland vs. Rutgers NCAAF Pick – Week 6

The Maryland Terrapins will Appear to bounce back after a Gloomy performance against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

They had been smacked by a score of 59-0 in what had been a no doubter for Penn State. This was likely to be a statement game for Maryland. A game to prove that the Terrapins will hang with the big boys of this conference and belong at the Big Ten.
It did not happen, not in the least. Penn State bludgeoned Maryland until they werent moving. Maryland were losers per week before too, with a 20-17 loss against the Temple Owls. The idea there was that Maryland got caught looking ahead. Considering that the results last week, Maryland were thinking about something but it sure was not soccer.
This turn has been sudden. This dip happened immediately following a win over the Syracuse Orange. Josh Jackson, that handed 3 touchdowns against Syracuse, was held to 2 interceptions and 65 yards against Penn State. The Terrapins will look to find out the bits in New Jersey at Rutgers University. Rutgers hope to secure their second win of the year in such a one.
Rutgers have only one win to show for their efforts. That was the UMass Minuteman, against a jump fire software. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a blowout loss of. Theyve dropped in 2019 against Big Ten foes by a combined score of 82-0.
Their other Big Ten matchup proved to be a 30-0 loss from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Speaking. Rutgers should take their ball and go find the next convention prepared to carry them. The AAC are a much better fit for the Knights that are lost and confused. Head below for our free Maryland vs. Rutgers select.

Texas Tech transfer, McLane Carter, was named the starting quarterback in Week 1 to take on UMass. He led Rutgers and it eventually looked like they had a quarterback running the series. This was short lived later Carter suffered a concussion a week after.
Rutgers have been forced to return to their starting QB Artur Sitkowski, from past year. If you followed Rutgers you are well conscious of how bad Sitkowski was. He had been the worst fulltime starting quarterback at the FBS, having chucked 4 touchdowns plus a whopping 18 interceptions on just 49.1% completions.
Sitkowski will probably be back in the saddle from Maryland in Week 6. Carter has not been cleared to go back to play with, so Sitkowski will be called on . Its gone for Sitkowski far but that isnt saying much. Sitkowski has thrown a touchdown with 2 interceptions on 64.7percent completions. So that is something to build for him, his completion percentage is up greatly. Throwing more interceptions is something that he must have under control.
Josh Jackson, former Virginia Tech QB, has been good for Maryland this season with 789 yards death with 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Jackson placed on a display for the Hokies a couple of seasons past, as he showcased his own ability. He passed for 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, while running 324 yards and 6 scores onto the floor. Jackson was away against Penn State, but look for him to get right back on course in dominant style from Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights enter 91st from the country with 414 yards allowed per game. Theyve been getting torched with nearly 200 yards surrendered a match around the floor. The Terrapins are effective at running the ball and also have accumulated 223 rushing yards per game for 25th in the FBS.
Look for Maryland to assert themselves on the ground and take over the match. This looks like a great spot for freshman Anthony McFarland Jr. to go off for large amounts. Cover and maryland likely have this one to win the spread.
